Certified Nursing Assistant Med-Surg Per Diem Days Los Angeles
Overview
The Certified Nursing Assistant will own patient care support tasks across a med-surg unit. This role involves measuring vitals recording patient conditions and assisting with daily living activities while maintaining a safe environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills and can work independently.
What You'll Do11
- 1Measure and record patient vital signs and weight
- 2Assist patients with hygiene and elimination procedures

- 4Stock unit supplies and operate hospital equipment
- 5Perform clerical tasks and support nursing staff

- 7Collaborate with licensed nurses on patient care activities
- 8Drive patient transport as needed
- 9Report changes in patient condition to nursing supervisors
- 10Manage medication reminders according to physician orders
- 11Document all patient interactions accurately
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Valid CNA certification in California
- 3AHA Basic Life Support certification
- 4Proficiency in medical terminology
- 5Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
- 6Physical stamina for standing walking and lifting up to 50 pounds
- 7Experience with patient confidentiality requirements
- 8Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- 9Reliable transportation method available
- 10Strong attention to detail and time management skills
