What You'll Do9
- 1Respond to signal lights and bells to determine resident needs within your first 90 days.
- 2Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and incontinence care.
- 3Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- 4Support residents with range of motion exercises and movement to wheelchairs or activity areas.
- 5Turn and position residents in bed to prevent pressure ulcers and maintain comfort.
- 6Assist residents with short-distance ambulation within the facility.
- 7Take and record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- 8Monitor and document food and fluid intake and output as directed.
- 9Perform additional tasks as assigned to support resident care and facility operations.
Requirements5
- 1Valid certification as a CNA in the state of Michigan.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 3Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
- 4Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
- 5Effective communication skills with residents, families, and facility staff.
