What You'll Do8

  • 1Welcome patients and take on front desk responsibilities including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to texts/emails.
  • 2Perform patient intake, charting, and documentation in the electronic medical records system.
  • 3Measure vitals, perform in-office tests and surveys, send out labs, and assist with vaccine administrations.
  • 4Maintain vaccine and supply inventories, adhering to practice policies around HIPAA compliance and safety.
  • 5Verify insurance, manage patient recall, referrals, and collect balances.
  • 6Stay calm and helpful even when busy, maintaining a friendly and supportive demeanor with patients and colleagues.
  • 7Work alongside a team that genuinely likes each other and pitches in to help.
  • 8Adhere to practice policies around HIPAA compliance and staff and patient safety.

Requirements10

  • 13+ years of experience as a medical assistant (required).
  • 2Medical Assistant Diploma or certification (required).
  • 3Availability to work until 6-7 pm on weekdays and 2 weekend days per month until 5 pm.
  • 4Experience with pediatric care and front desk operations.
  • 5Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • 6Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with parents and children.
  • 7Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without losing composure.
  • 8Commitment to providing outstanding medical care and service.
  • 9Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • 10Residency in or ability to commute to River Edge, NJ 07661 (required).
