Overview
Own relief delivery routes for KeHE Distributors, covering open, sick, and vacation routes across the Portland area. Drive Class A trucks to deliver natural and organic products to retail customers, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery. Collaborate with a supportive logistics team and report to dispatch. This role requires 12 months of verifiable driving experience and a clean record, with weekly schedules starting around 5am. What You'll Do8
- 1Drive Class A commercial vehicles on assigned relief routes, covering open, sick, and vacation schedules.
- 2Load and unload product at customer locations, lifting up to 50 pounds and using pallet jacks or hand trucks.
- 3Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies during all trips.
- 4Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance.
- 5Manage delivery schedules and communicate delays or issues to dispatch proactively.
- 6Provide excellent customer service, representing KeHE's values of service and reliability.
- 7Maintain accurate logs and paperwork for each delivery, including signatures and proof of delivery.
- 8Navigate routes using GPS and map tools, adapting to traffic and weather conditions.
Requirements7
- 1Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- 212 months of verifiable driving experience, or less with a perfectly clean MVR.
- 3Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- 4Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and loading/unloading product.
- 5Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- 6Strong customer service and communication skills.
- 7Ability to work independently and responsibly.
