Overview
Own local intermodal freight moves for JOF INTERMODAL in Dallas, delivering shipments from UP/BNSF rail ramps to customers. You will drive 5+ days a week, handle 60-hour schedules, and return home daily. Join a close-knit team with weekly pay and immediate starts, making this a steady CDL-A role with year-round work.
What You'll Do8
- 1Pick up containers from UP and BNSF rail yards and deliver them to local destinations.
- 2Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain DOT compliance and safety.
- 3Follow planned routes and adjust for traffic or weather using GPS and company directives.
- 4Secure cargo properly using chains, straps, or locks to prevent damage during transit.
- 5Communicate dispatch updates on delays or issues via mobile device or ELD.
- 6Maintain a clean MVR by adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- 7Work Monday through Friday with occasional weekend shifts to meet delivery windows.
- 8Log hours and miles accurately using electronic logging devices per FMCSA rules.
Requirements8
- 1Valid CDL-A License with no restrictions.
- 23+ years of commercial driving experience; rail intermodal experience preferred.
- 3Clean MVR and verifiable driving history for the past 3 years.
- 4Ability to work 60 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends.
- 5At least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US.
- 6Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- 7Comfortable with physical work, including lifting 50 lbs and securing loads.
- 8Reliable attendance and punctuality for daily dispatch at the Dallas terminal.
