You will run home daily local routes hauling automotive freight for a major customer, earning $70,000-$90,000 per year. You start at $25.50/hour for night shift or $24/hour for day shift, plus night differential and overtime after 40 hours. You join a dedicated team with 24-hour dispatch and access to CDL A training if you are a recent graduate. This role offers stable 5-6 day work weeks and immediate openings.
What You'll Do9
- 1Drive Class A CDL van routes, including 1700 combo and Wentzville lanes, with home daily returns.
- 2Haul no-touch automotive freight, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery at customer facilities.
- 3Follow assigned schedules, such as Sunday-Monday-Wednesday-Saturday or Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Saturday start times.
- 4Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any equipment issues to dispatch.
- 5Communicate with dispatch via ELD and mobile devices for route updates and delivery confirmations.
- 6Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery receipts accurately.
- 7Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all safety and DOT regulations.
- 8Adapt to rotating schedules that may include day or night shifts.
- 9Work 5-6 days per week with overtime after 40 hours to maximize earnings.
Requirements7
- 121+ years old with a valid CDL A license.
- 23-6 months of tractor trailer experience, depending on route.
- 3No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- 4No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- 5Ability to relocate to Kansas City, MO before starting work.
- 6Pass a background check and drug screening.
- 7Willing to work weekends and varying shifts as assigned.
