Overview
Transport and place precast concrete structures across the Chicago area as our CDL A Truck Driver - Crane Operator. You will own the safe delivery and crane operation for a 30+ year established manufacturer serving contractors and municipalities. Work alongside a tight crew of 10-15 employees, handling $10-15M in annual sales. This role stands out with a $28-$32/hour base, overtime eligibility, and full benefits including 401(k) after one year.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform pre/post trip inspections on tractor and trailer per DOT regulations, reporting any safety issues or needed repairs immediately.
- 2Verify loaded items against customer delivery documents before departure, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- 3Drive to customer sites and job locations, following delivery instructions and DOT guidelines for safe operation in all weather conditions.
- 4Unload precast products using the crane in customer-designated areas, maintaining precision and safety.
- 5Confirm delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures for each transaction.
- 6Communicate with dispatch and yard personnel on delivery status and any issues, ensuring timely updates.
- 7Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all activities, including hours of service and delivery records.
- 8Follow all company safe driving guidelines and policies, upholding a zero-compromise safety culture.
Requirements6
- 1Valid Class A CDL with 2+ years experience handling tractor-trailers in all weather situations.
- 2Current DOT physical card.
- 3Current Crane Certification.
- 4Pass a pre-employment drug screen and a ride-along road test.
- 5Read, write, and speak English in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- 6Spanish language helpful but not required.
