Catering Sales Manager, Community Business Development
Overview
You will own sales and community outreach for Bruster's Real Ice Cream of Wilmington, growing revenue across retail, catering, and the ice cream truck. You'll visit local businesses, schools, and organizations to build partnerships that drive new customers. This role sits on a small team with direct access to ownership, so your work shows immediate impact. You'll turn cold calls into lasting accounts and turn events into repeat business. What You'll Do8
- 1Visit local businesses to introduce Bruster's catering services, delivering samples to office managers, HR teams, and event coordinators.
- 2Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, generating repeat catering orders and expanding account spend.
- 3Coordinate fundraising nights and community events with schools, churches, daycares, and youth sports organizations.
- 4Identify and secure new festival, wedding, and private event opportunities, managing leads through close.
- 5Capture photos and videos at events for social media, increasing online engagement and Google reviews.
- 6Track all sales activities in a CRM, following up on leads and nurturing existing accounts.
- 7Partner with local apartment communities and HOAs to host ice cream socials and resident events.
- 8Drive brand awareness through local promotions and partnerships, measuring impact on foot traffic and orders.
Requirements6
- 12+ years in sales, marketing, or community relations, with a proven track record of building partnerships.
- 2Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel throughout New Castle County and nearby Pennsylvania.
- 3Availability for occasional evening and weekend community events, as well as 20-25 hours per week.
- 4Comfort with cold calling and door-to-door business development, confident in face-to-face interactions.
- 5Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, managing multiple accounts and events simultaneously.
- 6Experience in catering, hospitality, or event planning is a plus, but restaurant experience is not required.
