What You'll Do11
- 1Smile and greet all customers and team members while applying Vallarta’s six steps of extraordinary service
- 2Model core values including customer service commitment integrity respect humility and teamwork
- 3Operate cash register systems accurately and follow all money handling procedures
- 4Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts within company timeframes
- 5Keep the check stand clean organized and free of clutter store personal items in lockers
- 6Maintain knowledge of all produce codes and walk the produce department at the start of each shift
- 7Follow rules for WIC EBT alcohol and tobacco sales according to state and company policies
- 8Bag groceries according to Vallarta procedures and customers’ requests
- 9Watch for and properly handle items stored at the bottom of carts
- 10Respond to customer requests and call for management assistance when needed
- 11Offer carry‑out assistance for large or heavy orders
Requirements8
- 1Friendly courteous personality with strong customer service skills
- 2Ability to count and perform simple math accurately
- 3Ability to identify and differentiate produce items and codes
- 4Must successfully complete Vallarta Supermarkets Cashier Training Program
- 5Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- 6Must be able to speak read and understand English
- 7Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 85+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
