Cashier Food Service Worker, Prep Cook & POS
Overview
You will run the cashier station and support food prep at FSH Academy, a school dining facility in La Canada Flintridge, CA. You will operate the POS system, prepare coffee and food items, and maintain station cleanliness. You will collaborate with the Chef and line servers to serve hot and cold meals to students and staff. Full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, with pay at $19.00-$19.50 per hour.
What You'll Do8
- 1Operate the POS system to ring up customer orders and handle cash transactions accurately.
- 2Prepare food items such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, including catering orders.
- 3Set up the serving line and ensure food temperatures are taken and recorded, alerting cooks if out of range.
- 4Serve hot and cold items to customers at the line and in retail areas.
- 5Keep the coffee station and cashier area clean and stocked throughout your shift.
- 6Inventory and restock supplies and food products, rotating stock using the first in, first out rule.
- 7Record replenished amounts and refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms daily.
- 8Make deposits at the end of each shift to maintain cash accuracy.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of cashiering and prep cooking experience preferred.
- 2Ability to operate a POS system and handle cash accurately.
- 3Knowledge of food safety and temperature monitoring procedures.
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- 5High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6Availability to work Monday through Friday, hours may vary.
- 7Must pass a background check, including a Fair Chance review where applicable.
