Overview
Manage cash transactions and provide customer support in a convenience store/gas station environment. This role involves operating POS systems and ensuring accurate financial reconciliation. The position requires strong interpersonal abilities and adherence to safety protocols.
What You'll Do20
- 1Operate cash register and all point-of-sale equipment accurately and efficiently
- 2Quickly and accurately scan and bag all items
- 3Receive payment by cash credit debit or gift cards following store procedures
- 4Issue change refunds or credits with proper documentation
- 5Process merchandise returns and exchanges according to store policies
- 6Redeem food stamps and coupons when applicable
- 7Follow company policies for lottery tobacco and gas station loyalty programs
- 8Count money in cash drawer and coin box at shift start and end
- 9Calculate total payments and reconcile with shift reports
- 10Provide excellent customer service both inside and outside the store
- 11Maintain clean appearance of store and equipment daily
- 12Stock walk-in cooler and other racks as assigned
- 13Accept and process vendor deliveries paying cash
- 14Take accurate phone messages and forward to appropriate personnel
- 15Compile required shift reports and other documentation
- 16Maintain paper form supplies and notify manager when needed
- 17Attend store meetings and complete training sessions
- 18Train new cashiers on company procedures
- 19Place cash drops and transaction records in safe daily
- 20Report problems or discrepancies to manager

- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Prior cashier experience preferred
- 35+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 45+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 55+ years experience with data tools
