Caregiver San Jose Facility
Overview
Caregiver leading ADL IADL services for seniors in San Jose. Responsible for delivering high-quality support in a group home or private residence. Must demonstrate reliability and adaptability while fostering client independence.
What You'll Do11
- 1Own daily ADL and IADL tasks including hygiene grooming medication reminders and mobility assistance
- 2Provide companionship through conversation and pet interaction
- 3Manage household chores such as cleaning laundry and meal preparation
- 4Coordinate transportation and errands while maintaining punctuality
- 5Document client needs using electronic systems and report observations to supervisors
- 6Support mental stimulation through engaging activities and exercise routines
- 7Assist with personal care including dressing feeding and incontinence management
- 8Oversee trash removal and curb-side recycling collection
- 9Answer telephone calls and respond to door visitors promptly
- 10Supervise home deliveries and ensure safe handling of belongings
- 11Maintain accurate records of client progress and adjust care plans accordingly
Requirements7
- 15+ years experience providing ADL IADL support for developmentally disabled individuals
- 2Certified in BCBA or similar caregiving certification
- 33-5 seasons of relevant caregiving experience
- 4Proficiency with electronic health records and communication platforms
- 5Strong interpersonal abilities with proven patience and professional demeanor
- 6Ability to quickly master new technologies including mobile devices and software tools
- 7Reliable track record of meeting scheduled commitments without exceptions
