What You'll Do8
- 1Assess physical, social, and psychological status of cardiovascular OR patients, gathering data from the interdisciplinary team and technology tools.
- 2Design individualized care plans with input from patients, families, and physicians, setting clear outcome goals.
- 3Direct the interdisciplinary care team by delegating tasks and coordinating patient flow during complex cardiovascular procedures.
- 4Implement care consistent with the plan and professional licensure, managing time, supplies, and resources to handle emergent situations.
- 5Evaluate patient responses to interventions, revising plans to achieve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- 6Document patient care accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- 7Foster a collaborative environment with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff to maintain a safe OR.
- 8Integrate BLS guidelines and nursing fundamentals into every patient interaction.
Requirements8
- 1Current RN license in Colorado or valid compact license transferred within 60 days of hire.
- 2BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- 3Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (required as of 4/27/2025).
- 4If less than 12 months of RN experience, must obtain BSN within 4 years of hire.
- 5Ability to operate monitors and complex equipment, with manual dexterity for precise tasks.
- 6Physical capability to lift, transfer, and transport patients, including heavy items and pushing gurneys.
- 7Verbal communication and hearing skills to respond to alarms and patient needs during emergencies.
- 8Willingness to stand for extended periods and navigate crowded, busy rooms with equipment and cords.
Salary Insight
