Overview

You will own the calibration, troubleshooting, and component-level repair of measurement instruments and systems at the 75th St Lab in Everett, WA, working the graveyard shift (10:00 PM to 6:30 AM). You will interpret schematics, use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other M&TE to diagnose faults, and document results per ISO standards. You will collaborate with a small team of technicians and engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction. This role includes 2 months of paid training (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) before moving to nights, with a clear path to grow your metrology expertise.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Troubleshoot and repair returned instruments and systems to the component level using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and M&TE.
  • 2Perform calibrations using primary standards and M&TE following prescribed work instructions and ISO procedures.
  • 3Document calibration results and maintain records in the lab's tracking system within the first 90 days.
  • 4Analyze product issues, identify root causes, and escalate unresolved problems to the appropriate department.
  • 5Maintain and verify all standards and M&TE to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • 6Convey calibration data and trends to management to drive continuous improvement.
  • 7Assist in training new technicians on test equipment and calibration methods.

Requirements10

  • 1Associate's degree in Science with a focus in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field.
  • 22+ years of hands-on experience in electronics troubleshooting, gained through school or work.
  • 3Proficiency in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other lab equipment.
  • 4Experience troubleshooting electronic test equipment to component level.
  • 56+ months of experience using automated test systems.
  • 6Soldering experience for board-level repairs.
  • 7Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • 8Understanding of basic metrology concepts.
  • 9Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • 10Strong written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
