- 1Design and decorate custom cakes using piping bags, tips, and airbrush techniques to match member requests for birthdays, weddings, and holidays.
- 2Plan daily bakery production schedules to ensure in-stock levels and minimize waste during peak seasons like Valentine's Day and graduations.
- 3Operate and sanitize mixers, ovens, and refrigeration units per cold chain compliance to guarantee product freshness.
- 4Use handheld scanners to update inventory and monitor date codes, flagging expired items immediately.
- 5Guide members through cake selection and custom orders, resolving issues like design changes or pickup delays on the spot.
- 6Train new associates on decorating techniques and food safety protocols, fostering a culture of quality.
- 7Execute seasonal promotions by creating eye-catching displays that drive bakery sales.
- 8Track shrinkage and adjust production forecasts based on daily sales data and local event calendars.
Requirements7
- 16+ months experience in a fresh production area, preferably bakery.
- 2Must be 18 years or older.
- 3Proven skill in cake decorating, including piping, flower making, and lettering.
- 4Working knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.
- 5Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended shifts.
- 6Comfort using digital tools like inventory scanners and ordering systems.
