Overview
You will own the breakfast service at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Indianapolis, delivering attentive tableside care to hotel guests and walk-in diners. You will pair menu knowledge with real-time problem solving to turn morning routines into memorable stays. This contract role puts you front and center of a high-touch hospitality operation with backup from a seasoned restaurant team. What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare the dining room by cleaning guest and service areas and stocking essential supplies for smooth morning service.
- 2Memorize each breakfast menu item to recommend pairings and specials that match guest tastes.
- 3Record every order verbatim and confirm accuracy with the kitchen to prevent errors.
- 4Build rapport with guests by reading their pace and preferences, then adjusting service to match.
- 5Flag special needs or requests and resolve them on the spot, pulling in teammates when needed.
- 6Keep the restaurant tidy throughout the shift, completing side work and restocking as directed.
- 7Communicate fire and safety procedures to guests and assist during emergencies.
- 8Take on extra tasks from leadership to cover peaks and fill gaps during service.
Requirements6
- 11+ years of restaurant serving experience in a hotel or full-service setting.
- 2High school diploma or equivalency certificate from an accredited program.
- 3Clear verbal and written communication in English (primary language of the workplace).
- 4Stand and walk continuously for 8+ hours per shift.
- 5Lift, lower, and maneuver up to 30 pounds repeatedly.
- 6Reach, bend, stoop, and pivot throughout the workday without restriction.
