Box Office Manager, Live Nation Venues
Overview
You will own ticketing operations at Punch Line Irving, a premier comedy club in Dallas. Overseeing a team of box office staff, you will manage daily sales, will call, and event settlements for a venue with high-volume shows. You will work directly with Live Nation promoters, artists, and partners to ensure seamless event execution. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on ticketing technology, including the TM1 suite, in a dynamic, live entertainment environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead the box office team, hiring, training, and scheduling staff to cover all events at the venue.
- 2Oversee nightly box office operations including ticket sales, will call, and scanning with Ticketmaster systems.
- 3Build and maintain event setups in ticketing software, coordinating with talent buyers and tour personnel.
- 4Monitor ticket inventory and collaborate with the Pricing team to adjust prices for revenue growth.
- 5Reconcile daily cash, prepare deposits, and generate financial reports to ensure accuracy.
- 6Partner with the Ancillary Product team to create and sell premium offerings like VIP parking and club upgrades.
- 7Ensure ADA compliant ticketing practices are followed for all events and guests.
- 8Serve as the main ticketing contact for promoters, resolving issues quickly and professionally.
- 9Adopt new ticketing technology from TM1 and keep current with industry trends.
- 10Drive exceptional customer service by coaching staff to handle guest concerns with tact and diplomacy.
Requirements10
- 12-3 years of box office management experience, including staff supervision.
- 2Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- 3Proficiency with Ticketmaster software, including Archtics and AccountManager.
- 4Strong knowledge of cash handling, accounting, and settlement procedures.
- 5Experience with Microsoft Office tools like Excel and Outlook.
- 6Ability to work evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- 7Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- 8Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- 9Ability to train and motivate a team to deliver outstanding guest service.
- 10Knowledge of ADA requirements for ticketing and accessibility.
