Bilingual Insurance Agent, Property and Casualty Sales
Overview
You own the sales desk at GEICO Tampa, converting real-time internet leads into policyholders in English and Spanish. You work with a local team of licensed Property and Casualty agents, growing auto and property book of business year-round. This role targets the expanding Hispanic consumer segment, so bilingual fluency is non-negotiable. You get PTO, full health benefits, and hands-on training from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Engage internet-generated leads in real time, qualifying prospects and explaining GEICO coverage options
- 2Quote and bind auto and property policies in both English and Spanish, ensuring compliance with state regulations
- 3Build rapport with clients, addressing their concerns in their preferred language and converting inquiries into sales
- 4Drive retention by following up on existing policies, offering coverage reviews and endorsement upgrades
- 5Meet weekly sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction scores
- 6Collaborate with the local office team to strategize on outreach to the Hispanic market, participating in community events
- 7Document all interactions in CRM systems, tracking lead status and follow-up activities
- 8Cross-sell additional lines such as renters or motorcycle insurance to maximize account value
Requirements7
- 1Active Property and Casualty license in Florida
- 2Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
- 31+ years in insurance sales or a customer-facing role
- 4High school diploma or equivalent
- 5Strong negotiation and closing skills
- 6Comfortable working onsite in Tampa with set hours
- 7Ability to pass a background check
