What You'll Do11
- 1Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including medical histories and physical examinations
- 2Assess diagnose and manage acute chronic cardiovascular conditions
- 3Develop individualized treatment plans collaborating with supervising cardiologists
- 4Order interpret review diagnostic tests ECGs echocardiograms stress tests laboratory studies cardiac imaging
- 5Manage hypertension heart failure coronary artery disease arrhythmias hyperlipidemia and other cardiovascular conditions
- 6Perform follow up visits medication management patient education
- 7Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications risk factor reduction preventive cardiac care
- 8Coordinate referrals collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists
- 9Maintain accurate timely electronic medical records ensure compliance with clinical protocols regulatory standards quality initiatives
- 10Obtain DEA registration current or eligible maintain BLS certification ACLS preferred
- 11Apply strong clinical judgment communication interpersonal skills experience using EMR systems
Requirements11
- 1Master's or Doctoral degree from accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- 2Active New York NP or PA license in good standing
- 3National certification AANP ANCC NCCPA or equivalent
- 4Minimum two years cardiology experience preferred
- 5Fluency English Chinese Mandarin Cantonese required
- 6Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
- 7BLS certification required ACLS preferred
- 8Strong clinical judgment communication interpersonal skills experience using EMR systems
- 9Experience working in outpatient cardiology practice
- 10Familiarity with cardiovascular diagnostic testing interpretation
- 11Commitment to culturally competent patient focused care
Salary Insight
$135 - $200k per year
