Overview
You will own beverage programs at a high-volume Boston restaurant group, driving drink menus and bar teams to hit revenue and guest satisfaction targets. Reporting to the Corporate Beverage Director, you will lead a team of bartenders and barbacks across flagship locations. What You'll Do7
- 1Build and execute a seasonal beverage menu with the Corporate Beverage Director, aligning with brand standards and guest trends.
- 2Coach and mentor bar staff, setting clear performance expectations and conducting weekly one-on-ones to lift service quality.
- 3Manage inventory and ordering, tracking par levels and supplier invoices to keep costs within 2% of target.
- 4Drive financial accuracy by reconciling daily sales, monitoring labor, and submitting reports on time.
- 5Implement cleanliness and safety protocols, ensuring ServSafe compliance and a spotless bar area.
- 6Resolve guest issues with charm and speed, turning complaints into repeat visits.
- 7Plan and host bar tastings for staff to deepen product knowledge and spark creativity.
Requirements6
- 13+ years managing bar operations in a high-volume restaurant or bar, with hands-on experience in inventory and cost controls.
- 2ServSafe certification current and maintained.
- 3Proven record of leading and developing bar teams, with strong coaching skills.
- 4Solid grasp of beverage costing and pour cost analysis, using tools like Excel and POS systems.
- 5Flexible schedule covering nights and weekends, with reliable attendance.
- 6Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for guest and staff interactions.
