Behavioral Health Technician, Substance Use & Mental Health Support
Overview
Own frontline care for residents with behavioral health and substance use needs in an onsite Phoenix setting. You will support clients, help maintain a safe environment, and contribute to care plans alongside a dynamic team. This paid role offers growth in behavioral health and patient care competencies. What You'll Do8
- 1Build supportive routines by engaging with clients and managing daily activities
- 2Design and lead group sessions to foster coping skills and peer support
- 3Assist with meal preparation and inventory to ensure nutritional needs are met
- 4Document progress notes with accuracy and timeliness
- 5Engage with clients to monitor wellbeing and respond to crises if needed
- 6Conduct daily checks and counts to maintain safety and accountability
- 7Redirect clients as needed to maintain a calm and structured environment
- 8Support staff during rounds and activities to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements6
- 1Must be at least 21 years of age
- 2Valid Arizona driver’s license
- 3High school diploma or GED
- 4Valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through DPS
- 5Negative TB test within the last 6 months
- 6First Aid and CPR certified
