Basic Water Technician - Washington DC
Overview
Level 2 water damage restoration technician supporting client mitigation efforts. Requires expertise in pumping extraction mold remediation and confined space work. This role involves operating specialized equipment under supervision and demonstrating strong attention to detail while adhering to client standards.
What You'll Do11
- 1Receive and follow team leader instructions
- 2Understand and follow MSDS protocols for chemical products
- 3Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks
- 4Build containment systems using negative air machines and HEPA vacuums
- 5Apply cleaning solutions and debris removal techniques in confined spaces
- 6Utilize proper lifting techniques and protect customer property
- 7Remove vapor barriers and install moisture meters
- 8Set up drying equipment and maintain operational documentation
- 9Operate penetrating and non-penetrating moisture meters
- 10Demonstrate customer service skills and professionalism
- 11Travel periodically and work nights and weekends as needed
