What You'll Do9

  • 1Prepare beverages and food to Starbucks recipes, adjusting temperature, ingredients, or substitutions to meet customer needs
  • 2Maintain a clean, organized workspace so partners can locate supplies and products quickly
  • 3Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including ServSafe and J.C.A.H.O. regulations, for all food and equipment
  • 4Deliver prompt, courteous service by discovering and responding to customer needs with a customer-first attitude
  • 5Handle cash and security procedures per Starbucks policy to protect all partners and transactions
  • 6Communicate inventory and shift issues to the manager to sustain the Third Place environment
  • 7Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments using existing recognition methods
  • 8Complete Starbucks Barista Trainer Certification within 6 months of hire and train new partners as needed
  • 9Contribute to a positive team culture by proactively assisting with tasks and exceeding customer expectations

Requirements8

  • 16 months of previous food service experience required; 6 months of Barista experience preferred
  • 2High school diploma or GED
  • 3Starbucks Barista Trainer Certification required within 6 months of hire
  • 4ServSafe certification and MA Allergen Training preferred
  • 5Ability to maintain a calm demeanor during high-volume periods and unusual events
  • 6Strong customer service skills, including clear communication with patients, visitors, and hospital staff
  • 7Flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • 8Capable of performing multiple tasks per shift while maintaining sanitation standards
