Banking Center Manager, Retail Banking & Team Leadership
Overview
You will own the full operational and financial performance of a banking center in Lakeway, Texas, driving deposit growth and team productivity. You will lead a team of tellers and lobby staff, ensuring every transaction balances and every customer leaves satisfied. You will execute on PPC and KPI targets while keeping the branch secure and audit-ready. Your success will be measured by customer retention, deposit growth, and a highly trained, motivated staff.
What You'll Do9
- 1Direct the daily operations of the banking center, ensuring all transactions balance and security procedures are followed.
- 2Lead, train, and coach a team of 5-10 tellers and customer service representatives to meet sales goals and service standards.
- 3Oversee cash controls, including daily verification of teller cash and resolution of balancing discrepancies.
- 4Drive deposit growth by establishing and monitoring sales goals and incentive plans to align with bank targets.
- 5Manage the branch's P&L by controlling expenses and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising service.
- 6Serve as the point of escalation for complex customer complaints, resolving issues with professionalism and speed.
- 7Ensure compliance with FDIC regulations and internal policies, completing weekly logs and monthly audits without fail.
- 8Conduct performance reviews, track individual progress, and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards.
- 9Coordinate staffing schedules, approve time-off requests, and maintain accurate payroll records for all branch associates.
Requirements10
- 1Associate's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 23+ years in a financial institution, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- 3Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office, including Excel for reporting and tracking.
- 4Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- 5Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements, including AML and KYC.
- 6Proven track record in achieving deposit growth and meeting sales targets.
- 7Excellent communication skills for training staff and advising customers on financial products.
- 8Ability to analyze financial data and make decisions to improve branch profitability.
- 9Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional weekends for events.
- 10Certification as a Certified Bank Teller or Notary is a plus.
