What You'll Do8
- 1Bake cookies, bread, and muffins from scratch using proven recipes, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
- 2Package bakery items attractively, label with scales for accurate weights, and price using POS systems.
- 3Stock and face shelves, discard outdated products, and maintain inventory rotation by FIFO method.
- 4Operate commercial ovens, mixers, and slicers while following food safety guidelines.
- 5Answer phones for special orders, take cake orders, and assist customers with product recommendations.
- 6Clean and sanitize the bakery area including floors, cases, and equipment, removing hazards promptly.
- 7Receive deliveries, inspect shipment quality, and log temperature and condition in logbooks.
- 8Support the Bakery Manager during peak hours by managing backup production and display replenishment.
Requirements7
- 11-2 years of bakery experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2High school diploma or GED.
- 3Food Handlers permit or ability to obtain before start date.
- 4Stand for 3 hours continuously and up to 8 hours per shift.
- 5Lift and carry 40 lbs vertically and horizontally for up to 36 feet.
- 6Comfortable using scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks.
- 7Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
