Baker, Fresh Bagels & Pastry (3AM Shift)
Overview
You own the daily bake at Einstein Bros. Bagels, producing fresh bagels and pastries that define our brand. Arriving as early as 3AM, you set the tone for every guest's morning. You work with a small team to stock the bagel wall, take orders, and keep the store clean, all before 2PM. This role offers a consistent daytime schedule, with no evenings or nights, and a direct path to grow within our bakery operations.
What You'll Do8
- 1Bake bagels and pastries from scratch, following recipes and quality standards for each batch
- 2Stock the bagel wall and pastry case by 5AM to ensure a full display for opening
- 3Take guest orders at the register and assemble sandwiches and drinks during peak hours
- 4Maintain a clean and organized bakery area, including ovens, mixers, and prep surfaces
- 5Monitor product freshness and rotate stock to minimize waste and maximize quality
- 6Collaborate with the team to hit daily sales targets and keep wait times under 3 minutes
- 7Assist with opening duties, including setting up equipment and prepping ingredients for the day
- 8Follow food safety and sanitation protocols, including ServSafe guidelines, to ensure compliance
Requirements8
- 118+ years old (as required by law for bakery operations)
- 2Ability to work flexible hours including 3AM starts and weekends
- 31+ year of experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food service role
- 4Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move for 8+ hour shifts
- 5Valid state driver's license (preferred, required at some locations)
- 6Pass a background check as required by local, state, and federal law
- 7Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and handling cash transactions
- 8Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks during high-volume morning rush
