What You'll Do7
- 1Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, brake, suspension, and other automotive systems using OBD-II scanners and hand tools.
- 2Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks to vehicle manufacturer specifications.
- 3Communicate with customers to explain needed repairs and provide transparent cost estimates before any work begins.
- 4Collaborate with the service team to complete repairs on schedule and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- 5Use automotive lifts and diagnostic equipment safely to inspect and access vehicle components.
- 6Document all work performed and parts used in the shop's management system for accurate records.
- 7Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols and using required PPE.
Requirements8
- 1A Level: 7-10+ years of experience, up to $65/hour
- 2B Level: 2-7 years of experience, up to $50/hour
- 3Tire Tech/C Level: 6 months-2 years of experience, up to $32/hour
- 4Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach throughout the workday.
- 5Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50+ pounds occasionally.
- 6Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- 7Ability to operate vehicles, including those with manual transmissions.
- 8Valid ASE certification preferred but not required.
