What You'll Do7

  • 1Repair and maintain cars and light trucks with focus on gas and diesel engines.
  • 2Diagnose vehicle systems using diagnostic tools like OBD-II scanners and multimeters.
  • 3Operate shop equipment, including lifts, tire machines, and wheel balancers.
  • 4Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake work, and tune-ups.
  • 5Inspect and test vehicle components to identify worn or failed parts.
  • 6Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain safety standards.
  • 7Document repairs and services accurately for customer records.

Requirements7

  • 11+ years of previous experience as a mechanic, with hands-on work on gas and diesel engines.
  • 2Valid driver's license (DL) required for road tests and vehicle movement.
  • 3PA safety and emissions license preferred, but not required.
  • 4Knowledge of shop equipment, including lifts, jacks, and diagnostic tools.
  • 5Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills.
  • 6Ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail in repairs.
  • 7Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, lifting up to 50 pounds.
