Overview
You will own gas and diesel engine repairs for cars and light trucks at a family business with 23 years of history. You'll handle maintenance, diagnostics, and shop equipment operations. What You'll Do7
- 1Repair and maintain cars and light trucks with focus on gas and diesel engines.
- 2Diagnose vehicle systems using diagnostic tools like OBD-II scanners and multimeters.
- 3Operate shop equipment, including lifts, tire machines, and wheel balancers.
- 4Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake work, and tune-ups.
- 5Inspect and test vehicle components to identify worn or failed parts.
- 6Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain safety standards.
- 7Document repairs and services accurately for customer records.
Requirements7
- 11+ years of previous experience as a mechanic, with hands-on work on gas and diesel engines.
- 2Valid driver's license (DL) required for road tests and vehicle movement.
- 3PA safety and emissions license preferred, but not required.
- 4Knowledge of shop equipment, including lifts, jacks, and diagnostic tools.
- 5Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills.
- 6Ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail in repairs.
- 7Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, lifting up to 50 pounds.
