Automotive Lead Technician Job Las Vegas | Bridgestone
Overview
You will own the diagnosis and repair of drivability and electrical systems at a busy Bridgestone store, handling 10-15 vehicles daily. You'll lead a team of technicians, guiding them through complex repairs while ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction. You'll stay current with evolving automotive technology through paid formal training. This role offers a clear path to ASE certification with company-paid testing and bonuses, plus a flat-rate pay model that rewards your speed and expertise.
What You'll Do6
- 1Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems
- 2Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and non-technical staff
- 3Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training on new systems and tools
- 4Train and mentor technicians and mechanics in performing technical activities
- 5Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within two years
- 6Drive team performance by leading by example and sharing your expertise
Requirements8
- 1Valid driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles
- 2Skilled in brakes diagnosis and repair
- 3Skilled in alignment, steering, and suspension diagnosis and repair
- 4Skilled in general automotive maintenance and tire repair
- 5Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
- 6Current federal, state, and local certifications where applicable
- 75+ years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated skills via third-party assessments, or completion of a vocational-technical program
- 8ASE certification in at least 3 of A1–A8 (L1 can count, Brakes and Steering & Suspension preferred)
