Auto Mechanic, ASE Certified Technician in Dallas
Overview
ASE Certified automotive technician to diagnose repair and service a variety of vehicles at our Dallas area shop. You will perform maintenance inspections drive tests and use diagnostic equipment to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications. This role emphasizes quality workmanship customer service and safety. You will join a collaborative team focused on accurate repairs and continuous learning.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform routine maintenance including oil changes brakes fluid checks and tune-ups to ensure vehicle reliability
- 2Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and electronic vehicle systems using diagnostic scanners and meters
- 3Inspect vehicles for worn or malfunctioning components and recommend proper repairs
- 4Perform engine transmission suspension steering brake and exhaust system repairs
- 5Diagnose and repair HVAC climate control systems and ensure proper operation
- 6Read repair manuals wiring diagrams and service information to follow manufacturer specifications
- 7Complete repairs and document inspections parts and labor with accuracy
- 8Communicate vehicle conditions and recommended repairs clearly to supervisors and customers
- 9Maintain clean organized safe work area and adhere to OSHA safety procedures
- 10Stay current with new automotive technology and repair techniques
Requirements10
- 1ASE Certification required with additional ASE certifications preferred
- 2High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3Minimum of 2–3 years of professional automotive repair experience
- 4Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
- 5Ability to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently
- 6Experience using computerized diagnostic equipment and scan tools
- 7Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- 8Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 9Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- 10Ability to lift move and handle automotive components and equipment safely
Salary Insight
