Auto Body Technician, Collision Repair
Overview
You will own collision repair from disassembly to final inspection at Tony Motors, a full-service shop handling 40+ vehicles monthly. You will work alongside a team of 5 technicians and a service advisor, reporting directly to the shop manager. What You'll Do8
- 1Disassemble and reassemble vehicle panels for structural repairs.
- 2Repair dents using PDR and traditional metalworking methods.
- 3Prepare surfaces for painting: sand, mask, and prime to factory spec.
- 4Inspect completed repairs against safety and quality checklists.
- 5Prioritize job sequence with the team to meet daily production goals.
- 6Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow shop safety protocols.
- 7Document repair steps and parts usage in the shop management system.
- 8Communicate repair progress to the service advisor for customer updates.
Requirements6
- 13+ years in auto body repair, including collision repair and PDR.
- 2Proven ability to read and interpret repair manuals and blueprints.
- 3Experience with spot welders, frame machines, and paint prep tools.
- 4Knowledge of sanding and masking techniques for automotive finishes.
- 5Ability to meet safety standards and follow OSHA guidelines.
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Indian Trail, NC.
