Audio Engineer, Live Events & Touring
Overview
Own the audio backbone of a live performance venue, mixing front of house and monitors for every genre. Report to the Production Manager and work alongside touring engineers, vendors, and other production departments. This contract role at Live Nation in Nashville demands 3+ years of tour and stage production experience with professional audio systems. You will handle load-in, setup, and load-out of artist, owned, and rental equipment, ensuring flawless sound for fans and artists.
What You'll Do9
- 1Load in, set up, and load out artist, Live Nation owned, and rental audio equipment
- 2Mix front of house, monitors (wedge and IEM systems), patch, and cable management
- 3Support touring artist engineers with audio systems
- 4Maintain and repair Live Nation owned audio equipment
- 5Coordinate technical advance with artist or client representatives
- 6Ensure proper care and use of all in-house, touring, and rental audio equipment
- 7Oversee and operate audio systems throughout the entire venue
- 8Build and maintain relationships with local and national audio vendors
- 9Assist other production departments as needed and instructed
Requirements8
- 13+ years minimum tour and stage production experience
- 2Experience with professional audio systems and interfaces
- 3Good understanding of Lighting and Video production elements
- 4Ability to multitask while maintaining a professional demeanor
- 5Proficiency with all Microsoft applications
- 6Superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- 7High School Diploma; College Degree preferred
- 8Lift up to 75 lbs and work in moderate to loud noise environments
