Associate Attorney - Family Law

What You'll Do9
- 1Assist with and eventually handle client matters such as case strategy and drafting pleadings motions discovery and correspondence
- 2Prepare for hearings mediations negotiations and trial while managing deadlines efficiently
- 3Communicate effectively with clients opposing counsel court staff and other professionals
- 4Conduct legal research analyze complex issues and drive case outcomes
- 5Appear in court as experience and readiness develop
- 6Own and scale client files to ensure timely resolution
- 7Drive proactive client engagement and settlement strategies
- 8Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop persuasive arguments and strategies
- 9Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions
Requirements9
- 1Admission to the Virginia Bar or pending results
- 20–2 years of legal experience
- 3Strong interest in family law
- 4Excellent writing communication and organizational skills
- 5Professionalism good judgment and attention to detail
- 6Willingness to learn receive feedback and take initiative
- 7Ability to work in a team-oriented in-office environment
- 8Desire to build practical courtroom negotiation and client-management skills
- 9Prior family law experience is helpful but not required
