Assistant/Associate Professor: Career & Technical Education & WBL Coordinator
Overview
The Department of the Built Environment seeks a tenure‑track faculty member to lead Career and Technical Education programs and coordinate Work‑Based Learning and Career Counseling. Starting August 2026 the role will be based at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. This position drives curriculum development, recruitment, and research while collaborating with state agencies and local schools.

- 1Coordinate Work‑Based Learning and Career Counseling services
- 2Market and recruit students for CTE and WBL programs
- 3Advise and support students with course enrollment
- 4Conduct weekly office hours and maintain administrative contact
- 5Teach hybrid and online courses at BMI
- 6Update curricula in Canvas and develop new courses
- 7Prepare accreditation reports and collect program data
- 8Develop grant proposals and pursue external funding
- 9Collaborate with state departments and school systems
- 10Attend professional conferences and publish research
- 11Supervise student interns and observe teaching practices
- 12Serve as liaison with faculty and staff across campuses
Requirements10
- 1Doctorate in Workforce Education CTE or related field
- 2Proven experience in secondary/post‑secondary CTE and WBL
- 3Certification such as CPC Card or BCBA
- 4Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- 5Demonstrated research and publication record
- 6Strong communication and leadership abilities
- 7Experience with accreditation processes
- 8Secondary education teaching background preferred
- 9Ability to travel to multiple sites
- 10Valid work authorization for U.S. employment
