Assistant Store Manager Family Dollar
Overview
Seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead store operations and foster a positive customer experience. You will oversee daily activities and develop team members while ensuring compliance with company standards.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
- 2Help customers in a positive approachable manner addressing questions
- 3Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor
- 4Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
- 5Process corporate directives including pull hold destroy task compliance and key survey information
- 6Maintain promotional effectiveness of store front fixtures and displays
- 7Assist in ordering merchandise process damaged items and record keeping including payroll scheduling and cash transactions
- 8Protect company assets and maintain store cleanliness including bathroom cleaning and floor maintenance
- 9Supervise train and develop store associates
- 10Ensure a positive safe respectful environment with professional friendly interactions
- 11Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including restocking bathrooms and taking out trash
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2Ability to read interpret and explain operational directives
- 3Store management experience in retail grocery or drug store preferred
- 4Ability to lift up to 55 lbs from floor to above shoulder height
- 5Strong communication interpersonal and written skills
- 6Experience with POS systems and inventory management tools
- 7Knowledge of retail compliance and safety guidelines
- 8Proven leadership and team development abilities
- 9Customer service orientation and problem solving skills
