Assistant Residential Supervisor, Behavioral Health
Overview
Own programmatic implementation of residents' individualized plans in a residential site with supervision of caregivers. Manage administrative operations across sites, coordinating treatment goals and reporting to the client team. Collaborate with psychiatry on medication self-administration and crisis intervention in emergencies. This role blends program oversight with hands-on leadership of care staff. What makes this role different is direct involvement in ISPs and caregiver supervision within a behavioral health residential setting.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and monitor resident programs and ISPs to meet treatment goals
- 2Coordinate activities aligned with residents' treatment plans and progress
- 3Provide status updates to the client team and collaborate with clinicians
- 4Oversee self-administration of psychotropic medications in coordination with the psychiatrist
- 5Assist in administering crisis intervention techniques during emergencies
- 6Supervise, train, and support caregivers to ensure high-quality resident care
- 7Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to resident progress
- 8Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- 9Engage with residents to support a person-centered approach
- 10Evaluate program effectiveness and propose improvements
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's level education in human services or social services, plus 2 years of behavioral health experience or 4 years in behavioral health with a high school diploma or GED
- 2Experience in behavioral health or social services with understanding of treatment goals
- 3Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- 4Ability to multi-task and manage diverse resident needs
- 5Knowledge of behavior modification techniques
- 6Ability to supervise and train staff and coordinate caregiver teams
- 7Demonstrated reliability, adaptability, and detail orientation
- 8Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in high-stress environments
