The Assistant Director of Nurses supports the Director of Nurses with authority to perform supervisory duties. This role oversees daily operations and ensures compliance with healthcare regulations. It requires strong leadership and administrative skills.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist the Director of Nurses in personnel management and supervision
- 2Review resident records and report issues to the Director
- 3Check physician orders and verify accuracy of medical documentation
- 4Conduct weekly skin assessments with the Treatment Nurse
- 5Maintain Licensed Nurses' schedules and manage staff rotations
- 6Implement changes recommended by the Director of Nurses
- 7Review and update resident plans of care based on patient needs
- 8Ensure adherence to infection control protocols during isolation procedures
- 9Participate in committees such as Weight Variance and Pressure Ulcer
- 10Attend staff meetings and complete required training sessions
- 11Investigate incidents and report findings to the Director
Requirements10
- 1Current LVN or RN licensure in California
- 2Minimum two years of supervisory experience
- 3Good mental and physical health
- 4Demonstrated leadership abilities
- 5Strong communication skills in English
- 6Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations
- 7Ability to review and interpret medical documentation
- 8Experience with nursing service procedures
- 9Familiarity with quality assurance processes
- 10Commitment to patient safety and care standards
