Asset Protection Supervisor, Distribution Center
Overview
Own the asset protection and safety program for a high-volume distribution center in Columbus, Ohio. You will directly support the DC Asset Protection Manager in reducing shrink, preventing incidents, and ensuring OSHA compliance. Working alongside a team of up to 3 auditors, you will manage audits, investigations, and training to maintain a secure environment. This role requires decisive action in volatile situations and a commitment to safety. You will be the on-site leader for CCTV monitoring and OSHA standards, with LPC or LPQ certification and Wicklander & Zulawski training.
What You'll Do8
- 1Conduct monthly audits to assess shrink risk, safety compliance, and merchandise accuracy, using CCTV and digital recording systems to identify gaps.
- 2Lead regulatory investigations with OSHA, EPA, and state agencies, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- 3Oversee contracted security guards and ensure all electronic security systems are operational 24/7.
- 4Review weekly incident reports to identify trends and present findings to leadership, driving preventive measures.
- 5Train and coach auditors on OSHA standards and safe work practices, evaluating performance through data and observations.
- 6Execute the internal and external theft program, processing temporary labor and visitors, and maximizing merchandise recoveries.
- 7Maintain compliance with seal programs and physical security protocols to secure the facility.
- 8Investigate safety incidents to uncover root causes and implement training to prevent recurrence.
Requirements9
- 11+ years in asset protection, safety, or a related field with a high school diploma or GED.
- 2LPC or LPQ certification required.
- 3Wicklander & Zulawski certified.
- 4Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- 5Experience with CCTV and digital recording devices.
- 6Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation.
- 7Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- 8Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 9Must be legally permitted to work in the United States and be 18+ years old.
