ASIC Design and Integration Engineer - Silicon Security
Overview
Apple Silicon Security team seeks a driven ASIC Design Engineer to build secure subsystems protecting the entire Apple SoC. Responsible for designing hardware defenses against side channel attacks and ensuring integrity of sensitive customer data across product lines. Role involves architecting micro-architecture RTL design and integration of secure subsystems while collaborating with Platform Architecture and Design Verification teams.
What You'll Do6
- 1Architecting and designing state-of-the-art security features
- 2Working closely with Platform Architecture and Design Verification to deliver high performance area and power efficient RTL Blocks on time
- 3Integrating security IPs into secure subsystems and ensuring timing performance and security requirements are met
- 4Resolving integration issues across multiple IP blocks and coordinating with IP owners on interface and functionality concerns
- 5Driving front-end quality flows from RTL to netlist including hands-on work with Lint CDC/RDC analysis UPF development timing and synthesis
- 6Leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance design quality and productivity
Requirements10
- 1Experience with CDC Clock Domain Crossing and RDC Reset Domain Crossing analysis and verification
- 2Familiarity with low-power design techniques and UPF Unified Power Format
- 3Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals including synthesis timing closure and design for testability
- 4Background in cryptography and cryptographic algorithm implementation
- 5Experience with hardware security concepts including key management physical attack and countermeasures
- 6Experience with clock and reset architecture at the subsystem level
- 7Strong knowledge of AMBA bus protocols AXI AHB APB
- 8Minimum Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or relevant field
- 93 years of industry experience
- 103 years of RTL design experience using Verilog or SystemVerilog

$150 - $278k per year
