Art Director, Brand Identity & Creative Team Lead
Overview
You own the visual identity for a purpose-driven senior living organization with communities across three states. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you lead a small creative team and manage brand standards across print, digital, and video. You balance hands-on design with strategic direction, ensuring every asset reflects the brand's core values. This role offers ownership of brand architecture and the chance to shape creative output at scale.
What You'll Do9
- 1Define and maintain visual identity and brand standards across all marketing materials, digital platforms, and internal communications.
- 2Develop and launch new brand identities for ancillary and strategic partner businesses, managing corporate brand architecture.
- 3Develop creative concepts and visual strategies aligned with business objectives, campaign goals, and audience insights.
- 4Review and approve all creative outputs from direct reports and freelancers to ensure brand consistency and quality.
- 5Partner with the VP of Marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to translate briefs into compelling creative solutions.
- 6Directly manage a Graphic Designer and Multimedia Producer, providing mentorship and performance feedback.
- 7Assign and prioritize work based on project needs, capacity, and individual strengths.
- 8Source, onboard, and manage freelance designers, photographers, and videographers as project needs dictate.
- 9Oversee end-to-end creative production, from concepting to final delivery, across print, digital, video, and experiential formats.
Requirements10
- 14+ years in art direction, brand identity creation, or graphic design in a corporate or agency environment.
- 2Proven ability to manage and develop creative team members and freelancers.
- 3Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro or After Effects).
- 4Strong portfolio demonstrating brand development, digital, print, and video/motion projects.
- 5Excellent communication and presentation skills, articulating creative rationale to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
- 6High attention to detail with the ability to balance creative vision and practical business constraints.
- 7Preferred: experience in B2B or enterprise marketing environments.
- 8Preferred: familiarity with project management tools like Asana or Monday.com.
- 9Preferred: working knowledge of motion graphics, video production, or web/UX design principles.
- 10Preferred: experience presenting creative work to senior leadership.
