Armed Security Officer, Part Time Enhanced – Houston TX & Armed Certification
Overview
This role owns fixed shifts at a designated site in Houston, TX with the option to pick up additional shifts across sites. You will provide security services, respond to incidents, and patrol the premises to deter threats. You will work as part of a collaborative team focused on safety and customer service.
What You'll Do5
- 1Provide customer service to store personnel, shoppers, and visitors while enforcing site policies and responding to emergencies
- 2Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and disturbances coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services
- 3Conduct regular and random armed patrols of store, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity
- 4Monitor access points, deliveries, and activity of employees and vendors in line with site procedures and document observations and incidents
- 5Maintain a professional armed presence and follow laws, policy post orders and use-of-force guidelines
Requirements9
- 1Be at least 21 years of age
- 2A valid Texas Level III Armed Certification is required
- 3A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal policy
- 4High school diploma or equivalent
- 5Must pass background check and drug screen as allowed by law
- 6Commitment to fixed shift for six months
- 7Ability to participate in industry-specific security training programs
- 8Licensing requirements may apply based on state/local laws
- 9Must be able to work a daytime shift and be eligible for part-time hours with optional additional shifts
