Armed Security Officer, Crime Impact Team in Los Angeles
Overview
As an Armed Security Officer on the Crime Impact Team, you own the physical security of assigned sites across Los Angeles, operating as a visible deterrent and rapid responder. You work within a 24/7 security operation alongside BSIS-certified professionals, coordinating with local law enforcement. Your role demands high emotional intelligence and a reverence for human life, where you apply baton and OC skills only when necessary.
What You'll Do8
- 1Patrol assigned sites on foot or by vehicle, controlling access and monitoring surveillance systems
- 2Respond to alarms and emergencies, including medical incidents and security breaches, within the first 90 days
- 3Enforce site policies with a customer-focused demeanor, maintaining professional standards
- 4Write detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and document evidence
- 5Conduct threat assessments and support risk mitigation for the site
- 6Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and emergency services during critical incidents
- 7Maintain control of assigned firearm and equipment per company policy
- 8Support investigations through observation, interviews, and report preparation
Requirements8
- 1Valid BSIS Guard Card and Exposed Carry permit
- 2Current firearms qualification and certification
- 32-3 years of security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
- 4Clean criminal background and valid driver's license with clean record
- 5Ability to obtain baton and OC permits
- 6Basic first aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain
- 7Excellent physical fitness, with ability to stand or patrol for extended periods
- 8Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
