Armed Security Officer, Banking Center NYC
Overview
As an Armed Security Officer at a Brooklyn banking center you will protect employees, customers, and assets while enforcing bank policies at a fixed site with stable hours. You will work with a collaborative security team and have access to scheduling features to pick up additional shifts. This role offers part-time hours with the potential to scale to a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week. You will operate within a structured program focused on safety, compliance, and customer service.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build secure, calm responses to alarms and incidents using established escalation and reporting procedures
- 2Patrol banking areas, entrances, parking, ATMs, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity
- 3Monitor access points and verify credentials to ensure only authorized individuals enter
- 4Complete accurate incident reports and daily logs following site procedures
- 5Respond to emergencies with professional judgment and clear communication
- 6Assist customers and staff with security-related questions and guidance
- 7Support site-specific policies and security procedures to maintain a safe environment
- 8Collaborate with external agencies when necessary to resolve incidents
- 9Maintain readiness and compliance with training requirements as part of ongoing professional development
- 10Utilize scheduling tools to optimize shift coverage and earnings
Requirements10
- 1Possess a concealed carry weapons permit
- 2Possess an armed guard card or license
- 3Be at least 21 years of age
- 4Possess a corrections officer license
- 5Possess a law enforcement officer license
- 6Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- 7Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- 8Subject to background investigation in accordance with laws
- 9Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law
- 10Possess valid driver’s license for driving positions only
