API Platform Lead - MuleSoft & TIBCO | Bank of America
Overview
You will own the API Platform for Bank of America, leading middleware remediation and modernization across MuleSoft and TIBCO environments. You will drive migration from legacy platforms, harden security against AI-accelerated threats, and orchestrate 24x7 global operations. This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership of large-scale initiatives, serving clients worldwide. You will shape scalable, secure API platforms that power financial services at massive scale.
What You'll Do9
- 1Lead migration and decommissioning of legacy middleware platforms, transitioning workloads to MuleSoft and TIBCO.
- 2Drive platform security hardening to mitigate AI-accelerated vulnerability risks across API ecosystems.
- 3Design and implement scalable, secure API platforms supporting global clients with onboarding and best practices.
- 4Enable CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for APIs using Jenkins, Ansible, and Git.
- 5Ensure operational excellence for a high-volume, mission-critical platform, responding to incidents and driving root cause analysis.
- 6Collaborate with development teams to enforce API design standards, including REST, RAML, and OpenAPI.
- 7Manage runtime configurations across CloudHub, ARM, and container environments.
- 8Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform engineers and support staff.
- 9Participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekend support to maintain platform reliability.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and/or TIBCO middleware.
- 2Experience designing enterprise APIs using REST, RAML, and OpenAPI.
- 3Hands-on experience with API management, access control, and runtime configuration.
- 4Proficiency in deployment models, including CloudHub, ARM, and containers.
- 5Strong background in Java/J2EE or similar technologies.
- 6Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Git.
- 7Scripting skills in Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
- 8Experience managing Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
- 9Deep understanding of microservices and service-oriented architectures.
- 10Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues at scale, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
