Apartment Maintenance Technician, Residential Repairs
Overview
You will independently handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs for a Nashville apartment community. You'll report to the Maintenance Supervisor and keep residents informed. This role demands a broad skill set and physical stamina, with EPA Certification a major plus. You'll work a contract, onsite position with a focus on quality and efficiency.
What You'll Do6
- 1Repair sinks, showers, toilets, and unclog drains with plumbing tools
- 2Replace fixtures and switches, and rewire when needed, following electrical safety protocols
- 3Patch holes, replace doors and locks, hang cabinetry, and paint for carpentry and drywall tasks
- 4Install washing machines, dryers, stoves, and garbage disposals, and perform minor appliance fixes
- 5Communicate politely with residents, setting clear expectations for completion
- 6Report missing or needed parts to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager as directed
Requirements5
- 1EPA Certification strongly preferred
- 21+ years in residential maintenance (apartments, hotels, or private homes)
- 3Own hand tools and drills, brought daily and secured at work
- 4Reliable transportation and a team mindset
- 5Ability to handle a physical workload, including standing, lifting, and bending
