Analyst Underwriter, Medicare Advantage Pricing
Overview
You will own risk assessment and pricing for new group Medicare Advantage opportunities at CVS Health, directly influencing revenue and membership growth. You will work with a mentor to recommend pricing based on financial analysis and underwriting principles. You will collaborate with sales to explain strategies and produce accurate proposals. What You'll Do7
- 1Build new business proposals with accurate pricing and risk assessment for Medicare Advantage groups.
- 2Apply underwriting guidelines to assign cases and escalate exceptions or financial variances to the appropriate level.
- 3Develop customer-specific documents and deliverables on time to support sales and case management.
- 4Use underwriting tools and systems to produce detailed financial models and rate calculations.
- 5Collaborate with sales to explain rate development, underwriting policy, and strategy.
- 6Drive process improvements through automation or process change to increase efficiency.
- 7Support department projects and workgroups to meet strategic goals.
Requirements6
- 11+ years of experience in underwriting pricing methodologies and funding arrangements.
- 2Demonstrated analytical and independent thinking skills to assess risk and financial data.
- 3Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- 4Clear written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- 5Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
- 6Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field.
