Ammonia Refrigeration Technician
Overview
TDI Refrigeration seeks an Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to support critical customer operations in Phoenix. You will own service work from diagnosis to repair while expanding your technical expertise. This role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.
What You'll Do11
- 1Service ammonia refrigeration systems including reciprocating scroll rotary and screw compressors
- 2Perform diagnostics on mechanical electrical and refrigeration components using specialized equipment
- 3Complete compressor rebuilds motor alignments and preventative maintenance tasks
- 4Install and service expansion valves control valves and other refrigeration components
- 5Connect equipment to electrical power sources and inspect piping for leaks
- 6Perform startup commissioning and optimization for ammonia and synthetic refrigeration systems
- 7Diagnose control panel issues PLCs microprocessors and automated control systems
- 8Travel to customer locations and handle service calls as needed
- 9Complete work orders timecards and documentation using SimPRO
- 10Generate purchase orders and maintain truck inventory
- 11Maintain a clean organized service vehicle
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 2 to 3 years HVACR commercial refrigeration industrial refrigeration experience
- 2EPA 608 Certification required
- 3Universal EPA Certification preferred
- 4Valid driver's license
- 5Ability to lift 50 pounds
- 6Strong communication and customer service skills
- 7Experience with electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment
- 8Willingness to work overtime and on call schedules
- 9Experience with refrigeration controls PLCs and automation systems
- 10Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and industrial systems
