Overview

The Ambulatory and Outpatient RN at SouthPine OB/GYN owns patient care across the full continuum, from assessment to evaluation, in a high-volume Charlotte clinic. You'll apply the nursing process, monitor conditions, and adjust care plans in real time, working with a multidisciplinary team including LPNs and medical assistants. This role offers a hybrid schedule with one remote day per week, plus exposure to quality initiatives and professional governance. You'll make a direct impact on patient outcomes while advancing your clinical expertise in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for OB/GYN patients, applying evidence-based practices and the nursing process.
  • 2Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the care team to influence outcomes.
  • 3Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely according to clinical protocols.
  • 4Uphold a culture of safety by continuously evaluating patient, team, and unit outcomes and taking action as needed.
  • 5Delegate tasks appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
  • 6Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation for every patient encounter.
  • 7Engage in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care processes and support professional governance.
  • 8Float to other units or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs.
  • 9Communicate effectively and resolve conflicts to foster team collaboration.

Requirements9

  • 1Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
  • 2Active RN multi-state compact or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where providing services.
  • 3Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • 41 year of clinical nursing experience.
  • 5Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • 6Time management, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • 7Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 8Proficiency in operating computers, including EHR and digital platforms.
  • 9Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist frequently, with ability to lift 35 pounds and perform physical safety interventions.
