After School Program Custodian, Part-Time Afternoons
Overview
Owns routine cleaning and maintenance for afterschool spaces at designated school sites with a focus on safety and readiness for student activities. Works 4pm to 6pm on site in a contract role within a supportive team. The role supports multiple YWCA Afterschool Program spaces and ensures a clean, orderly environment. This position offers a structured afternoon schedule and contributes to a safe, welcoming program atmosphere.
What You'll Do5
- 1Clean classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and designated afterschool program areas
- 2Perform routine maintenance such as replacing lights and light bulbs and basic upkeep in cafeteria and classrooms
- 3Empty trash, sweep, mop, stock supplies, and maintain cleanliness of lunch rooms
- 4Respond to emergency cleanups related to students and staff and maintain readiness to act
- 5Collect trash and cardboard throughout the facility and ensure facilities are safe for activities
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2One year of experience in general maintenance or custodial/janitorial tasks or equivalent combination of training and experience
- 3Level 2 Clearance and drug test required
- 4Ability to work 4pm to 6pm on site in Miami, FL - must be onsite and contract position
- 5Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and ability to follow instructions
