Overview
You own document preparation and case inventory management for the Pre-Judgment Department at Stillman Law Office, a multi-state creditors' rights firm. You process legal documents, maintain case records, and support workflow for litigation operations. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to meet deadlines in a high-volume practice. What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare, review, and process court-related documents in the Pre-Judgment case lifecycle.
- 2Maintain case inventory across firm systems, tracking status and accuracy for litigation support.
- 3Scan, copy, file, and manage case files to keep records complete and accessible.
- 4Run document workflows in MS Outlook and Excel to meet daily production targets.
- 5Verify case data against source documents to reduce errors in creditor filings.
- 6Communicate case status and workflow needs to attorneys and legal staff.
- 7Support process improvement projects that cut manual data entry and speed up inventory review.
- 8Conduct basic research on case details and court procedures as required.
- 9Handle special projects from the Pre-Judgment team, from audits to filing batches.
- 10Keep confidentiality and follow firm policies for legal document handling.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 21+ years of office or administrative experience (preferred).
- 31+ years of law firm or legal department experience (preferred).
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 5Strong organizational skills for managing high-volume case files.
- 6Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- 7Excellent written and verbal communication for internal coordination.
- 8Reliable transportation for regular on-site work in Farmington Hills.
- 9Willingness to obtain a Michigan Notary Public commission, costs paid.
- 10Basic research and problem-solving skills for case data review.
